The awards are mixed media on paper and were created by Grand Junction artist Gayle Gerson. Two of the awards were presented to 2010 award-winning towns Creede and Telluride at a ceremony on February 26, 2010.

The following photographs are of Gerson’s pieces, awarded to the winning towns. The first piece below was presented to the city of Telluride. The second piece below was presented to the city of Creede. The third piece below was presented to Governor Ritter and will hang in the governor’s office in the Capitol.
